University of Barcelona
The University of Barcelona (UB) is a Spanish university that was funded in 1450. UB combines the values of tradition with its position as an institution dedicated to innovation and teaching excellence: a university that is as outward-looking and cosmopolitan as the city from which it takes its name. The UB counts with six campuses and 63,617 students from undergraduate, master, postgraduate programmes and PhD studies. It has almost 6,000 members of research staff. Currently, it is the second biggest university in Spain, but ranked as the first Spanish university in most of the international rankings. The UB is also the principal centre of university research in Spain and has become a European benchmark for research activity, both in terms of the number of research programmes it conducts and the excellence these have achieved. The TKCOM project is coordinated by members of the faculty of Education.
University of Coimbra
The University of Coimbra (UC) is a Portuguese public HEI with more than 700 years of experience in education, training, and research. The University of Coimbra (UC) was classified as Human Heritage by UNESCO in 2013. UC has affirmed its position over the years with a unique mix of tradition, contemporaneity, and innovation. Today, UC is a large complex structure with three campuses, 26,000 students, of which 16% are international students from 90 different nationalities, and 3020 academic and non-academic staff members highly active and committed to the quality of research and education as well as to the development of knowledge and technology transfer activities. UC is also a reference in higher education and R&D in Portugal, due to the quality of the courses taught at its 8 colleges and to the advances achieved in pure and applied research in various scientific domains and on technology related areas. In UC, the project will be conducted at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.
Nottingham Trent University
Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is an English university with roots back to 1843. NTU currently offers over 500 courses, which are run over three campuses and administered by ten academic schools. The university counts with almost 27,000 students. NTU is internationally recognised for outstanding teaching, research, engagement with employers and students satisfaction.
Beijing Normal University
Beijing Normal University (BNU) is a key university under the administration of the Ministry of Education, is a renowned institution of higher education known for teacher education, education science and basic learning in both the arts and the sciences. BNU has its origins in the Normal School of Imperial University of Beijing. Currently, Beijing Normal University is among the 8 top Chinese universities. The university has 22,000 full-time students and 3,100 teachers. Beijing Normal University promotes broad international cooperation and exchange. BNU had the first school of Psychology.
Northwest Normal University
Northwest Normal University (NWNU) is a Chinese comprehensive University located in Lanzhou. NWNU was founded in 1902. This university has a large number of students enrolled, around 30,000-35,000, in undergraduate, Master and doctoral studies. There are also a large number of teaching staff. NWNU has several research institutes and has elaborated several research papers as a result of this research. In addition, NWNU has collaborated in several international research projects.
Southwest University (SWU) is a comprehensive Chinese university. SWU was established in July 2005 through the incorporation of Southwest Normal University and Southwest Agriculture University. SWU has developed its characteristics around teacher education and agriculture education. Education and Psychology studies have taken a national lead. SWU counts with over 52,000 students enrolled and over 4,500 teachers.
