Building up Chinese Primary Teachers’ Key Competences through a Global Competence-based Framework

Preparation of the face-to-face training

One of the main tasks of the TKCOM project is to train teacher trainers within the competence-based approach. This training is blended; that is, a part is online and the other is face-to-face. The online training will be held during June and the first week of July, whereas the face-to-face training will take place in China during the 13th-22nd of July. The training has to ensure capacity building in Chinese HEIs.

Due to the relevance of the training, a couple of members of NTU travelled to Barcelona to prepare the face-to-face training. The meeting was held on the 2nd-4th of May and aimed to plan the face-to-face training. During this meeting, the main aims of the training were discussed, as well as the learning activities that should be done to achieve the learning outcomes were decided. Additionally, it was revised the alignment between the online and the face-to-face training.

The outcome of this meeting was the planning of the face-to-face training, the materials and contents to be developed, the tasks to be carried out, as well as the deadlines of each task. We hope that this meeting leads to a successful face-to-face training.
